Well! Plaid CTF 2011 is now over!
Thanks everyone who participated our very first CTF competition. We hope you had a lot of fun while playing, and learned new/useful skills through the game.
We are going to open the challenges and servers for a while, so that you can work on it even after the competition.
The top teams need to submit the write-up in 2 weeks. We will send e-mails to each team.
Again, thanks a lot for playing!!!

We all know the evils of AED and their employees, and you and your team members have been doing a great job to infiltrate and expose some of their darker secrets.
But it is never, never, never enough!! We need to expand beyond electronic infiltration and move into the physical realm. But how, you ask, can a lowly computer hacker venture into the outside world and physically attack Amalgamated Electro Dynamics.
Simple! We have provided an interface for our intercompany android attack and defense system. This system is accessible through a mod for the original Half Life program called Science and Industry.
Half Life can be purchased on Steam (if you're too much of a n00b to not have it) and Science and Industry can be downloaded for free from here. Our top secret server can be found on 128.237.157.150.
Feel free to practice up before Friday to be on the top of your game. (Currently no points are planned to be awarded to teams who do well at S&I, it is solely for entertainment)

Plaid CTF 2011 will start on April 22, 21:00 UTC, and end on April 24, 21:00 UTC (48 hours).
Also, if you have cool research works on computer security, you should consider submitting a paper to USENIX WOOT '11 (woot11cfp.pdf)
